About Chris Renfro

When life changes, your plan matters most.

Few people move because life is standing still. They move because something is changing — a growing family, a new job, a divorce, the loss of a loved one, aging parents, a fresh start, or a home that simply no longer fits. A move like that is rarely about square footage. It is about family, timing, equity, risk, and peace of mind. That is exactly why my work begins with a plan, not a listing.

I am Chris Renfro, and I help families across Polk County make clear, confident real estate decisions during the seasons that matter most. Sometimes that means guiding someone through buying or selling. Just as often, it means helping someone weigh their options and conclude that now is not the right time to move at all. I have sold more than 150 properties — and I have helped even more families decide not to buy or sell when that was the wiser choice. The goal never changes: the right decision for your family, not the easy one for me.

A move is more than a transaction.

I have lived in Texas, New Mexico, Alaska, and Florida, so I know firsthand what it takes to pack up a life and start over somewhere new — the stress of learning a community, the pressure of deciding quickly with incomplete information, and the weight of getting it right for the people you love.

I also understand how deeply a home is tied to family. I grew up in a divorced household, helped care for aging grandparents, and walked alongside my father before he passed. Those experiences shaped how I see this work. A home is never just an asset — it holds responsibility, memory, and some of the hardest decisions a family ever makes. People facing those moments deserve more than sales pressure. They deserve guidance.

My job is to ask the better questions.

As a trained life coach, I have learned that the best answers begin with the right questions. Before we ever discuss a list price or an offer, I want to understand what truly matters to you. What are you trying to accomplish? What worries you most? What does your family actually need? What happens if you move now — and what happens if you wait? Which options have you not yet considered?

A decision this important should never be made casually. A thoughtful plan lowers your stress, protects your equity, and gives you the confidence to move forward — or the clarity to wait.

My commitment is simple: I will help you make the right decision, even when that decision does nothing for me or my team.

Experience for when it gets complicated.

Over more than eight years in real estate, I have sold over 150 properties and guided families through nearly every kind of transition Central Florida can throw at them — first purchases, complex sales, divorce, inherited property, downsizing, and investment decisions. That experience is the foundation of everything I do.

What sharpens it is what I bring alongside it. Before real estate, I spent years negotiating high-value bodily injury claims and leading large teams — real training in negotiation, problem solving, and keeping people steady through stressful, high-stakes decisions. I have run a handyman business, so I see a property the way a contractor does. And as a trained life coach, I know how to slow a decision down and help you think clearly. Some moments call for market knowledge, others for hard negotiation or a builder's eye — my job is to bring the right one at the right time.

Polk County is home.

For more than two and a half decades, Polk County has been home — and I have watched it grow into a place I genuinely love. It is where my wife and I have built our life together across more than twenty years of marriage, raised our family, served our community, and put down deep roots.

My faith in my Savior shapes how I do business. It means I will give you the full picture — even the parts that might talk you out of a sale — because the decision is yours to make, and you deserve to make it with clear eyes, even if we lose a sale.

I have also had the privilege of coaching high school basketball, which only confirmed something I already believed: people rise when someone believes in them, challenges them, asks good questions, and helps them find the next right step. That is exactly what I aim to do for every client.

A little more about me.

When I am not working, you will usually find me reading, learning something new, or outdoors. I am a Star Wars fan, a loyal Orlando Magic fan, and — for better or worse, depending on the season — a Dallas Cowboys fan.

Born in Texas, raised in New Mexico, shaped by a season in Alaska, and at home in Florida for most of my adult life — every one of those places, and the people in them, taught me something about how to serve others well. Because when life changes, the right plan can make all the difference.

You don't just get an agent. You get a plan.

A major real estate decision rarely touches just one corner of your life. It can ripple into your mortgage, taxes, retirement, estate plan, family responsibilities, cash flow, insurance, repairs, and long-term goals. The right plan often calls for the right team.

Work with me and you gain more than my guidance — you gain access to a network of planning-minded professionals: mortgage planners, financial planners, tax professionals, estate planners, attorneys, insurance advisors, contractors, and other trusted specialists. I do not replace those experts. I help you ask the right questions, recognize where their guidance is needed, and coordinate the real estate side so your decision is a well-informed one.

When life changes, guessing is expensive. You deserve the right plan, the right timing, and the right team.

Chris does not provide legal, tax, or financial advice. He coordinates the real estate side and connects clients with the appropriate licensed professionals when specialized guidance is needed.

Start with a plan.

Whether you are preparing to buy, sell, relocate, downsize, settle an inherited property, invest, or simply understand your options — you do not have to figure it out alone. Let's talk through where you are, where you want to go, and what makes the most sense for your family.
